Ok guys, after a couple of false starts, it's time to buy my car. I currently own a 66 special deluxe 4 door, but I'm really looking for a 2 dr HT. I did ok at my new job and have $2500 to blow on my car, and the father in-law is loaning me up to $1000. I'm looking for a daily driver 65 - 69 Skylark 2 dr HT in the $1.00 - $3500.00 in the Phoenix area or one that can be brought to me (I work 6 - 7 days a week, 9 - 16 hours a day). It doesn't have to be perfect, but here's what I need... I need an interior me and my wife can sit on, and a backseat I can buckle 2 car seats into. I don't care about paint and small dings, but rust is not cool. Cracked glass is a pet peeve, but if it's drivable, so be it. ANY set up except 3 speed manual on the column is good. I need someone's daily driver, or a car in good enough mechanical shape to get me down the 101 every morning, stop when told to, and turn when needed. A/C isn't a necessity to me, I can add a Vintage Air unit I've got lying around somewhere. That's pretty much it, any help would be appreciated. Brado (p.s. 66 skylark I was about to post my 66 skylark for sale and would take $3500 as she sits, 340 2 speed auto that runs pretty good........I have owned the car less than a year and it has had a tune up and front end work, a/c (not working) but its all there. bench seat , power brakes , white , black interior and black vinyl top......let me know if you would like some photo's, call my cell # 314-378-3691....because I'm not home much during the week, Paul.
Found!!! My father in law just found me a 1969 Buick Skylark Custom for sale in Sun City somewhere. He's not sure on the price, but the car is very clean (just a little front end damage, everything else is great), so he's going to talk to the guy for me. The guy would rather deal with an old hand than a young buck I guess. The thing on Fridays is the little park and meet at 35th and northern in front of the good will on friday night. Some of the cool guys are Spaz, and his 67 Mustang (rough, but cool), Thad with his primer black 87 T/A, Athena, no car I've seen yet, but very cool chick. And hopefully, me with my 69 Lark, the 400 4bbl I want in it, and my hushpower 2 exhaust! :Brow: :3gears: I've already got down what I want on the car, I'm looking at $10G just in parts to do it how I want.
