Is the buy it now price in the ball park? I kind of remember the "Heavy Chevy" but didn't give them much thought. You would have thought they would have come with disc brakes up front. The seller should have at least put a radio delete plate on the dash if they couldn't find a radio. Nice looking car, at first glance I thought they put GSX stripes on a Chevy! https://www.ironplanet.com/jsp/s/it...63.754848871.1600379192-1140690016.1600379192 Bob H.
although rare , they were plain janers. i would much rather have an ss , you can probley get for less. Just my thought.
Oooh, that's cool! But yeah, they were stripped down models with a graphics package. Kind of like a T-37 Pontiac.
The California GS in Chevy form. The base model with muscle car flash. Neat cars, but not 45k. I had a supervisor years ago that refused to accept his Malibu was a Heavy Chevy. It had all the equipment but had been painted, so no stripes.
Are those headers on the engine? Did that exhaust come from the factory? If not, "frame-on restoration" may be a bit inaccurate.
Misprint. From Hemmings: Quite a few Heavy Chevys were cranked out: 6,727 in the abbreviated 1971 model year and 9,508 in 1972.
And like I said before, this one is really rare having the 402 BB with a four speed. If it originally came that way. Still more money than I would pay but I like it.
