    Howdy,

I really like the "mother of pearl" or iradescent white on the new Lucernes and since I will need to get my 'Riv repainted I was wondering if there is any advantage of going to a dealer for that piant colour or just going to a Maaco or other paint shop for a "driver" paint job. I know most of the paint job you pay for is in the prep work, that is why I'm doing that myself, but for actually laying down the paint.... any advantage to the dealer?

    Thanks,

Any "good" shop can match what ever color you want

That pearl white paint on the new Lucerne is a $1000 option (just like the Sharkskin gray)

Just 'cause it is a $1000 option on the car doesn't mean that the paint is $1000, but I bet it ain't cheap, either...

true, however none of the people I've polled about it on my 'Riv have liked the idea and its a risky expensive experiment.
