I thought the name "GranSport" was copyrighted by GM,and that no one could use the name? :Do No:

I saw something on them a while back and also today while watching Two Guys Garage (I think).

Too bad they don't make a high performance ceramic shoe for those of us with drum brakes.

They probably thought it was the Buick Grand Sport, so there was no infringement.

    Carl,
This guy's actual company name may be "The GranSport Company of Ohio", or something like that. Then they shorten it for all their advertising etc.

I ran into this when filing for Classic Car Interiors.

Also, I think trademarks eventually expire...

...how else could we have the Mitsubishi GSX or the KIA GSX?

I've heard and noticed that too from Dream Car Garage or Sports Car Revolution. I believe it is about a Canadian company, Satisfied Brakes that makes the Gran Sport line. Would infringements not apply in another country?

I believe that the trademarks are internationally protected by the patent office. It would be interesting to see what the patent office has on the name "GranSport".

trademarks & patents are enforcible only in the countries that they are registered.
