Today, I decided to do some much needed maintenance on my Quincy air compressor. I drained the compressor oil that probably has been in it for 30-40 years. It was terrible looking. Now,I need to try to find some filters for it. Still runs strong considering it was made in 1959...They don't make them like this old girl anymore..

My neighbor (Friend's pop) has had an old Quincy in his body shop for at least 50 years. Just normal oil changes and filter maintenance. Not used much at all since Pop died 2011...

This one was in a gas station my dad and I worked at in Indiana back in Lake Station. It was used to operate the air powered lifts for many years. When they upgraded to a newer style one(not anywhere as nice as this unit) dad bought it. It was in my mom's barn for many years and he used it there till I built my new garage. I would love to repaint it and get it looking better one day,but it sits in it's space and does it's job whenever it's called for. I decided to do maintenance for it's sake. I also like how quiet it is when it's running compared to the newer ones.

Check McMaster Carr for filters, maybe they have a match. Or hit the Wix or Baldwin catalogs.

Mine is 30 years old, bought it shortly after I bought my house in 1990. It's a 80 gal Sanborn Stage 2. Works great but damn it's noisy!
I've been wanting to try and reduce it's noise by putting a different air intake on it. There are some YouTube vids where they added an automotive muffler to the intake.
