Hi, guys . . . sorry if I missed some of ya over the weekend. I know I didn't get to chat with Ken or Roberta and a host of other veterans . . . but it was fun, no? I need to salute all you guys for coming because 120+ cars for a rainy weekend is just oh-so-cool! I can remember when we had 120 cars on a sunny day! While I don't want to detract from the hard work of Bob and Dan, it certainly is not an event without you guys! SO HERE'S THE IMPORTANT MESSAGE: If you ran, please email me at euphoriablimpworks@gmail.com with your best time, mph, name and car. The computers were down and we don't have the data that we would like. Can you imagine if this happened during a weekend of good weather? Whew! So we need to rely on you to help us compile some kind of list. In addition, there are many participants who don't go to this site, so if you could pass along the message to them, that would be great. It would be a shame, even with the limited racing, not to have some sort of compilation of times. Dan and Bob know I'm posting this but make sure you give me the information, not them - I'm going to pass along the finished list to them. Thanks a bunch for a weekend that *wasn't* a wash because of you!:beer PS> If I talked with anyone about emailing them something (like Donny and the chimichurri sauce), please remind me because my mind is going.
Thanks for your help Diego! Not to steal your thunder here Diego, but if it's easier for some of you to give us your best e.t. and best mph here, please feel free to submit them in this thread. I will monitor it frequently. Right now, I have nothing for the magazines, other than the car and owner stats from our registration cards. I'd like to be able to give Steve Statham and Tom Shaw a theoretical lineup from Friday night's "qualifying" from which they can write some articles. We gotta get you guys in the magazines! Thanks for your help!
Thanks again Dan for all that you and Bob do. Here is my best out of 3 runs; 13.79 @ 100.79 mph 1971 Tropical lime pontiac T-37 Car #71:laugh:
Couldn't Steve and Tom just write a play-by-play of the food and beverage consumption instead?
My best was a 13.52 @101.54 with a 2.007 60'. Car # 83 I will contact a couple of the guys that I know don't hit the board all of the time. Great time again guys, just wish we could have raced on Saturday!!
Worst my car has ever run. 2 runs onlycouldn't take any more of this)... Both were 2.40 60 footers.......spinning even with a soft launch...... First run: 14.60 something at 94 MPH Second run, 14.90 at 92 or 93....... Hate to go out like this, but been going backwards for a long time....that's it.
Car #011 14.704 @ 95.54mph Drove it in, no track tune-up, 4 weak passes and drove it home in the downpour Saturday. But driving under the lights for the first time was great fun!
