Difference in piston dish?

    I have a 72GS 350 convertible... does anyone know for sure what the CC's are on the dish for the 8.5 and the 10.5 compression ratios are??? Then i will know what I am looking for when I rebuild it...and if anyone knows of somewhere you can buy a set of pistons at a good price would be interested in that info also... don't need forged....THANKS... MIKE_GS

    Found this over at www.flatlanderracing.com - look under TRW pistons.

    340P V8 350 Buick 68-71 Std.,30,40 Recessed head .085" deep x $239

    657P V8 350 Buick 72-77 Std.,20,30,40,60 Recessed head .245" deep $129

    10.2 piston

    if your bumping up comp to the 10.2 i would shave heads 020 to make up the difference from the steel shim head gaskets . thats what i did for the pistons i got from poston.you can see the difference than your stock 72 pistons rite away :TU:
