Disc brake conversion options

    Yes tire choice for 14 is diminishing...

    As for the bleed down on your brake pedal, I had the same exact problem and it turned out to be a bad master cylinder. The seals were failing, hence the bleed down or fluid bypass inside the master cylinder at a stop, especially a long stop when holding down the brake pedal. You can pump it up, but it'll bleed back down again.
    Try a new Master Cylinder.

    i used to have drums up front with my 14 wheels converted to discs and they still cleared. But now i have 17s up front so no worries now

    I have 14" X 6" Rallyes ( the ones with trim rings) on my '68 California GS and the disc brake setup from a '72 LeMans clears the wheels just fine. Since I bought a set of 15" X 7" Chrome Rallyes recently, maybe I could interest you in the 14" X 6" for cheap?
