It been a while since I looked for these but can anyone tell(or show) me the difference between disc and drum brake spindles. I have a friend at the GM dealer close to me and he says the part numbers are the same for both. I have a set of disc brakes off a 72 Lemans 350 Sport with spindles but I don't have a drum set to compare with. Thanks Rich Little Rock
They are not the same, nor are they the same p/n. I am going by memory here, but if you set them side by side, the part that the top bolt goes into are much deeper on the drum setup. The disc spindles are not. I am not sure about bearings etc. Where the confusion starts is that you can now buy kits to put disc brakes onto the drum spindles. Sorry, no pics.
