I am swapping the rearend in my '68 Sportwagon. The rearend came out, umm, "in a hurry" and we don't know if there were supposed to be rubber spacers on top and bottom of the rear springs. The Year One catalog only lists them for the top, and offers some "non-original rubber spacers" for the bottom. Did the rear springs ride directly on the rearend then? All I know is that whatever fell out of the car was broken into many pieces (most likely original, and very old / crumbly). Thanks! -Bob Cunningham
