455, loaded, Har, har, HAR! Unfortunately over the limit for Pure Stock eligibility (1975) Would be fun with the W33 package...

Omigod..It's an Oldsmobile! Got the flame rekindled by prepping this one for one of my brothers. Just about ready to ship to him in Alabama. It came from Mississippi.

Cool. My parents had a 69 Delta 88 vert when I was born. Replaced it with a pea green 72 hardtop just after I was born.

My dad had a 1975 455 like that, but his was baby blue.

I had for 26 years, a 1973 455 yellow with dark brown interior.

They are great cars. Start first time every time. Mine never failed to get me where I wanted to go. After 26 years, I didn't want the convertible top, anymore.

hmmmm,.... I'm thinking if a Riviera or Toronado..........

Shipped the Pontiac via enclosed hauler to Alabama yesterday. Really impressed with Ruehles in Mt. Clemens, MI. $900 door to door, 2 days...They have trucks running down there once a week. Coll double decker trucks in flame red with flames on the front...Made sure Jeff Gordon didn't own the company first as it looked like his helmet...

Now to go get the Delta before the snow flies...thinking of taking my annual trip in February to the South in it this year...

Sure liked that Pontiac..Got a feeling that one will be coming back. Maybe I can entice him into the Olds on a trade...

I determined yesterday that yes, I really have grown out of this.
When I put on my coveralls to prepare for an oil change on the W-30, I found it difficult to zip them up past my belly.
If this keeps up, I may need both new coveralls and to replace the W-30 with a 98.

Hence, the gargantuan Delta Royale convertible.....

It does have a little potential, though, probably needs some "tuning stuff"...

I've found it's easier to buy and serve beer than it is to crawl around on a cold, hard concrete floor. You change oil before the winter? I always do it right before starting in the spring. Next year will be the 43rd time.......

Just bought 5 gallons on Turbo Blue to split between the Ramrod and the 68...Not that I plan on doing anything that requires that over the winter, but firing one up in January and smelling the race gas fumes is an aphrodisiac to an old (careful there) gear head...great motivator...think I'll try some of that in the old Bronco plow truck or one of the wheel horses, too...if I can get any of them to start...right now it's 1 out of 6 of them and that's not the Bronco.....:Do No:

It's certainly different than anything else I've had. My favorite of these would have been a 71 Delta Royale Conv with a 455...bumper standards hadn't hit yet, and emissions controls were at a minimum...and easy to bypass. Unfortunately they're ultra rare and weren't very good cars quality wise...like all 1971 GM models due to the interruptions of the big GM strike. We shipped lots of cars with parts in the trunk, others with a list of "IOU's" in the paperwork to the dealers, and a lot of just plain junk just to give the dealers something to sell since they couldn't get cars or parts for the better part of 3 months...
