does a short console bolt direct to the hump?

I have a buick short console that came out of a 67 skylark. Does it require a bracket or does it just get screwed to the floor :Do No: ? (these were used in cars with column shift)

    Thanks

What do you mean by short console? Do you mean the separate unit used just for storage? If so yes they had brackets.

Only reference to brackets I could find were for the '74-'75 consoles. I mounted mine
in a '71 directly to the floor using the same screw that secures the armrest bases to the door. Saves cutting the carpet too.

    Yup,

I mean the short one just used for storage...goes between the 2 bucket seats.

I think we're talking different items? go to : www.buickperformance.com & look under members rides. The one I have was slated for bucket seats in an auto. car with column shift. Likely available for a man. shift car too.
