    Hey everybody,
Whilst trying to figure out where the courtesy light is in my glove box, I found this. Does anybody know what it is? I cannot locate the courtesy light holder.

Buzzer of some sort; key left in switch would be my guess.

Ah thanks so much guys! Well that doesn't seem to work and neither does that fasten seat belt bulb. I suspect that was done deliberately at some point though!

Thanks for the info Bill - they certainly liked hiding bulbs in weird places on this car. It's like the ash tray one, it's in a housing that seems to block about 95% of the light!

But when it's working that little ash tray bulb puts out enough light to see the ash tray in a dark car. I always liked the mirror map light. Perfect to see which side of a cassette tape to put facing up! ;)

Seat belt buzzers were mandated believe for cars produced as of 1 Jan ‘72. All Chevs I’ve parted in that late 72 period had at least parts of the system. They fiddled around with buzzers and seat belt interlocks for ‘73 and ‘74 model years. Not entirely sure if the systems were gone by either ‘75 or ‘76.
