    Denny,
What's the story on this car?????....it kinda looks like the one you had 5 years ago. Did I miss a thread where you revealed the story on this one???? :Dou:

    You are correct!!

    Lon

You are right on this one. That was my car about 5 years ago. I bought it back about a week ago, turn key.
I guess that it could be considered my first race car and it kinda has centimental value. I sold it to a good friend of mine who has raced it the past 4 years and he just bought another car and didnt need this one, so part of the deal when i sold it was that when he was ready to sell it...i had first shot at it. We talked about it and of course Renee was all for it (so i would stop racing her car) and now i have it back again.
Looking to take it out this sunday to Thompson to just get used to it again. But it should be out at all the buick events and running our local tracks next year.

I also still have the 70 GS car that will HOPEFULLY be done and ready for Norwalk in the spring.

With all these dual race couples, we may have to start setting up a husband vs. wives bracket race :3gears: ......loser :ball: cleans the house and mows the lawn, the winner gets to watch :spank:

    Great news Denny!

    wow

You know Rick......I kinda like that idea. I am sure that Renee would be game for it too. I have never raced her before, been close once, but never had to race her yet. Might be something to look at sometime next year.....of course you know that if i were to lose the first one, then it would have to be 2 out of 3....

I also wouldnt mind seeing Gary Paine race Sandy either.

Loser mows the yard and cleans the house? I do that all that already! I also do all the landscaping and I'll be the first one to attempt to fix anything that breaks around the house (duct tape is my friend). It would be nice to actually see Denny clean up his own messes for a change though! I'M IN, LET'S RACE :) :3gears: :beer

All I know....He's finally going to be OUT of my car yippeeeeeee

    spouse race

I'd be afraid to race Sandy, cause even if you win,you lose.if you know what I mean :Brow:
Besides she's a pretty good racer.
She and Leanne have had to race twice though,Sandy prevailed each time,

  Don't let a challange like this bother you Dennie. You would look just fine with an apron on. ( A short apron, only, with lots of pictures.)

    Combination?

Since we have the 464 68 at the shop I am interested in the combination you have. What can you tell us from tires to what ever?

    The Big Question

IS..... with the open trailer sold and one new enclosed on the premises, WHO has to drive thier race car to the track??? seems you'll have to get em both to the same place at the same time, and from what i saw this year, renees' car was fitting that trailer prettty well!! or is that white car a true street/strip car? LOL

Welp....seems like my car will be the one elected to be driven to the track since Dennys 68 isn't street legal, plated and doesn't have full coverage insurance...<sigh> Back to driving to the track, racing, and then driving home. Guess napping on the way home after being at the track all day is OUT of the question now.....bummer :)

    combination

    Skip

    The combination goes like this:

It is a 462, stock rods with arp bolts, Ross pistons, stage 1 heads with some port work done to them, head studs, TA intake, 1150 dominator. Tranny is a 350 turbo, manual valve body with a 9 inch Hughes 4000 stall convertor. Rear is a 12 bolt, 3.73 gears with a spool and Mosier axles. Tires are Mickey Thompson 29.5x9 slicks. Car weighs 3350.
Car was at the track today and went a best time of 10.85 @122 with a 1.52 60 foot time.

I think that is about it for the car. Hope this helps.
