does the 65 gs skylark have a faster steering ratio?

    im deciding wether or not if i should bother taking the steering box out of my gs parts car and place it on the car that im turning into a gransport using all of the tags and driveline. does the gs have a faster steering ratio than a non gs?

    Forever Steering - I like that. Only too true. So ......
    Is there something that can be done to correct this - different steering box or some other fix that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and can be returned to original ?

    You can change out the steering box from a later model car....early-mid 70's Trans-Am, 80's Monte Carlo SS's, GN's and even some Jeep Grand Cherokee have fast-ratio steering boxes.
    You may need an adapter for metric hose fittings, or different spline count/ or size to use some boxes. Also a stock F-body box (TA) won't turn as sharply so it'll increase your turning-circle diameter some.
