door striker

    would like to know where you can buy a door striker,for a 73 century,either new or a good used one,must have plastic piece on striker.hope i explained that right.thanks Ray

    If you can find a fullsize GM car same year as yours they will have the same striker bolt. I do believe they range on those are quite broad so it shouldn't be a big problem for you.I would also look for a 4 door model and take the striker bolts from the rear doors less chance of wear. Good Luck and I bet you'll get a few responses after my post that can accommodate you.

    Have you tried your local GM dealer. I got one for my Century from a chevy dealer. The GM part # is 961750. I think I paid around $20.00 for it though. If you need just the plastic roller bushing I believe those are available to.

    The part number for the door striker is 9601750, I can order one and have it here for you either late this week, or early next week. The price is $29.88 plus tax.
