Well, the stock drive shaft FITS! just gotta get a new U joint for the new yoke thought i'd have to get one cut! but this is good, because i'm planning on getting a ford nine inch towards the end of the summer, and didn't want to have to have 2 drive shafts made!
When I did the initial install, the TH-350 was bolted to the crossmember so this basically was used as an index to locate the engine. After the 455 toasted the TH-350, in went a short tail TH-400. As for the driveshaft, all I did was remove the 27 splined yoke and replaced it with a 32 splined one. Oem length worked out perfect!!! I know 8.5s and 12 bolts will require a 1" shorter DS.
