Well guys, my daily driver has developed a major brake problem. I have a 2002 Mazda Millenia and thought the brakes needed to be checked, so today I checked them. I found that the outer pads had about 80% on them and the inner had about 0-5% on them. I'm pretty sure this is a problem with the sliders, but do you think they'll fix this under warranty for faulty brakes?

I've posted this on the mazda board, but they are a bunch of dumbasses who know nothing about cars, so I'd like to know what some intelligent people think. I figure either way at the worst I'll have to replace the calipers

Depends on the miles and your coverage. You could argue that they were defective. I would try them first. Tell them you had the oil changed and the place did a free brake check and told you the condition and problem. Then fight with the dealership.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. I don't know, but I think that they should accept the responsibility for this. I'm just damn glad that I decided to check the pads this weekend when getting drunkn in the garage. Probably just saved my life!!!!
