Hi all, once again, I need your input. I have a 71 Skylark /350. I have the TH350, and am planning a 4 speed conversion. I have a rebuilt 4 speed saginaw and bell housing. Will my current driveshaft work, or will it be too short or too long?

To be sure, with the tranny installed, measure the distance between the end of thre trans tail output shaft and the seat of the u-joint on the diff yoke, subtract 1" and that is the correct length.

The car should be up in the air for this measurement, but, shoul dbe supported by the suspension, or as it would be sitting on the ground.
