What causes new brake shoes or drums to squeel and how can I remedy this? The squeel is killing me !!!! :blast: :eek2:

Get rid of semi-metallic pads. Use organic and you will be fine.

BigBlock68 Love that old car smell.

My mechanic just recommended I get organic pads for my car. Any idea where to find them?

If the drums are not new, have they been turned?

Get em at advance, autozone, or O'reilly's, i'm sure they all have comparable shoes . . . although you'll prolly replace them quite often, as i know for a fact the ones from advance aren't all that great (i work there). Not trying to bad-mouth the company, but the organic pads we sell aren't top of the line.
