WOW ! :beers2: I know typically the air is good/great there, but does anyone have the Air Denisty Altitude readings for the track today? Just curious? Rich C.
Jim Mino is there putting out some good mph. 116+. Go gett'em Jim!:beers2: He just needs to get that 4 speed to cooperate with those tires!!
Dave over Lane in the finals... Dave Dudek takes back the mph record with a 10.35 @ 134.48 Lane Carey runs a 10.48 Steve Hodges runs a 10.89 Ken Veit runs a 10.94
In the Factory Stock class , Rick Mahoney's RA II Firebird won in the finals, when Julie Penningtons Vette would not start when called to the line,as I've been told. Congrats Rick ! I tried to follow this yesterday, on "Live Timing",but I don't think they provide you with that kind of detail. It was great following this as it all unfolded yesterday. It's almost like being there,as the results come in by car as the race is taking place. I'm hooked on this!:TU: Rich C.
Congrats to all the guys joining the 10 second club in FAST.:TU: Really liked seeing a couple of different makes duking it out in FAST as well ie : Lane C. and his 71 Mustang with a best of 10.48 @ 131.97 ,and Rick Mahoney's FAST RAII Bird debut's with a best of 10.63 @ 132.02 ! Congrats to the Pontiac and Ford camp for rolling out some thunder !:beers2: Rich C.
Nice job Scott and Rick, I heard that car was coming. Not bad for the first time out, do you guy's feel you have it all sorted out, or is there still some more? Not too bad for a wedge-head Poncho:TU:
we're thinking that that there's more left in the Firebird, as the 60' foot times are in the mid to high 1.70's. we should be able to get into the low 1.60's and that should help us a little bit, maybe another 1-2 MPH and another .2 in ET. Also we are still trying to science out the carb off the line, there could be something there as well. But you never know.... Rick
Dale W's LS6 70 SS454 Chevelle. Dale was formerly known as Dale the Snail, but that seems to have changed a little with that 180 foot air Saturday. :eek2:
Thanks, Tim. Dale is getting the Chevelle going quicker and quicker. Dale is the most fun guy at the entire track. His excitement is very contagous. Mark
