E-Z Wiring harness: How e-z is it?

I recently placed a thread about what harness to use and today discovered I have a harness by E-Z wiring.
It comes with instruction, a worksheet, a bag of extra connectors, z-ties, etc.
After laying out what I need, this harness appears to be more than complete.
Any help or input from those who've had the pleasure of using this wiring harness would be appreciated.
    Thanks & Aloha,
    Scott
BTW-I can't find a part number, but I believe it's a 18 circuit harness and it's tied and divided into 4 areas of the car. Front/dash/column/tail.:Comp:

That is the harness I used on my Skylark. One of the best things I ever did for the car.

You will have to modify the firewall for the fuse panel, was not a big deal. This is not a hard job but does take a lot of time. I think it took me about 20 hours. You will need to take a lot of the interior apart. It is a lot of detail work and you should take a lot of notes as you work.

If I did it over again I would route headlight, horn, turn signal, fan inside the fender instead of the factory location. Go to this site http://www.madelectrical.com/index.shtml and read everything he has and order his book "tech is made simple" on wiring. Get the uninsulated butt connectors from them. I would go with 100 of the 16-14 gauge and a 10 pack of the others. You can get cheaper shrink wrap but Marks stuff is better. It is a strange little business run by one guy but he is the guru on hot rod wiring. Follow the instructions in the book.

If you need a Skylark wiring diagram let me know.

The good: quality wire and components

The bad: what to do with all of the spare wires. you can cut them off or bundle and try to hide them for later upgrades. I ended up adding terminal strips next to the fuse panel ala Ron Francis Wireworks style.

It may be EZ, but I think buying repro harness for the factory system would be much easier unless you are radically deviating from OEM components.

I'd buy repro, but I'm running elec fan, elec fuel pump, 68 ignition in my 69, 68dome light in my 69, and some other changes I can't remember at the moment, so I was thinking this e-z kit might be the better route.
I actually was going to pull the entire wiring harness from the 68 and transplant it in my 69, but that would be just as mnuch work as the e-z kit so I'll try the e-z kit and see if someone wants to buy the stock harness.
Turns out, it's in great shape from head to tail.
    Thanks and more input, PLEASE!

Just go slow and careful and you will be pleased with the results. I have an electric fan, cd ignition and so on. You do need a new harness to supply all that stuff. It is really nice to have the 18 circuits.
