advantage correct ? able to install 68-69 rocker arm assy on mid 70's motor ? anything to change or adjust or look out for before starting this winter project . lookin' to put the ta212 into the nos shortblock with a set of redone '75 heads and would like to use the early rockers if that would be cool . bolt it up to the th400 and slide 'er in and wait for spring . thanks . del

    Del,

I think you'd need the '68-'69 heads that have the oil holes in them. I don't know if the '70-later heads had the oil holes to use the early style oiling system that oils through the rocker shaft. Then you'd have to use the correct lifters and solid pushrods with no oil holes in them. You don't want oil going both ways, you lose to much pressure.

    350 HEADS

IF THATS THE CASE I'VE GOT SOME 69 HEADS READY ANYWAY . I WASN'T SURE IF THE 69 ROCKERS WOULD OIL OK THROUGH PUSHRODS ??? I NEED TO LOOK THEM OVER CLOSELY . WAS JUST INTERESTED IN USING CORRECT/CLOSE YEAR HEADS WITH SHORTBLOCK . DEL
