I am considering my options for my '63 LeSabre. It looks as though this site sells the brackets, and provides a list of off the shelf parts to complete the job. The other option I have is to buy two used drums at $125 a piece(my front drums are shot) have the drums and backing plates drilled (check out www.chtopping.com) and plumb up a dual master. Cost effectiveness is a concern as well as stopping power. The old one pot just doesn't mate well will a more hopped-up nailhead. Mayb e somebody out there will have experience with either of the two options. :Dou:

    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

I just got a nice pair of alum drums from a 67 Wildcat, will they work for you?

  3. There was also a company that made spindles that mounted up to late-model GTO brakes.

There aren't many topics here about upgrading our 'Cats brake system. So give it a try, and write an article! :Smarty:

That Scarebird bracket kit looks interesting.
Certainly seems like an affordable way to go even after you've purchased the other parts.
A guy in Australia sells a kit for the old Rivs, but I seem to remember it costs around $1,000.

I'm not sure if they are the same. I found a '65 WC in the junkyard and the fins were different. They looked functionally acceptable. Maybe somebody else can provide some info?
