may be looking for a regal 79-87 w/ 455, looking just for a race car in good+ shape, would like it to be all there as far as; cage, rear end, running ect. waiting on an insurance check and also have a couple othere things might buy so kinda just fishing to see what may be out there, might not be ready to buy now or if the right car showed itself who knows, looking for a car to run low 10's 9's, love it to be in new england to see it but not unwilling to travel, just a drag car thats clean, no show cars or beaters full of rust and rot, ready to run and race but needs tweaking and some light bodywork, only want to spend a couple-few grand, have a few people trying to sell me smallbock stuff and grand-prixs or monte's but not what i want. mis my 87 t and GN, been a few years now need to get back into it, thanks for all your time, please dont get any hopes up, looking at many different thing, not sure what direction i'll go, John. :beer

lol, not insulted at all, i know it far fetched but thought it would be worth a shot, i know theres that "one" car that fits my wants, if i wanted to drop 12-15K and up would want a nice gn track machine that i could drive, but if i get rid of some other toys i would bump my budget up some but since its not a street car and just a toy i want to keep the cost down, thanks for your input, John.

well..is there much price difference?just thought it would be nice to keep it all buick, if i had to go w/ a chevy i would, dont mind that at all, wouldnt mind a small block either, just thought it would be easier w/ BB and thought cost wasnt too different, was thinking by eliminating all the turbo, electronics and stuff the car should be able to be done for the range i was looking for, i'm open to ideas-thoughts on what could be done to get it there- figured that its only a strip car so a big block with a stripped down car should be close, i wouldnt mind spending more but have too many other hobbies, if i cut some back would up my budget, but still want to keep it cheap, not looking to impress anyone w/ fancy paint or gagets- just time slips... thanks for your time in talking bout this, i value any input, and yes i do think its kinda out there but some other deals i have seen in the past were simply crazy, just takes that one person just looking to dump a prodject- but will look around for chevy, if thats a big cost savings, take care, john.
regal i have a 79 regal some rust but i think its fixable near chicago you can have for free,no eng or trans. have a 12bolt with 4.10 posi/southside bars you could have with for 800. andy
