Am thinking about putting Edelbrock's 409 wheels on my 72. Summit has 15x8 with 4 1/2 inch backspacing in stock. Any other sizes, like 15x7 with 4 inches of backspacing would take a few months to get. My question is, does anyone know if a 15x8 with 4 1/2 backspace with a 235 or 245 60-15 tire will fit on the front without any trouble or rubbing? Any advice would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Gary D.

The stock 7" wheels have 3 7/8 backspacing. So, 8" with 4.5 backspacing should be good.

I believe it's accepted (at least with us Buick guys) that a 255/70/15 is equal to the G60's that came on these cars.

You shouldn't have any issues with 245's.
