I have a problem with my speedometer, its not working. I checked the cable but it was ok. Then I removed the worm gear and it seems to be worn.
Does anyone know were to find a new one? Or does anyone know the part number?
I have heard that it is hard to find a new one, is that true?

I don't know if it is the right one that's sitting there right now. As extra info it's marked "19 T". For 19 teeth I guess.
Maybe someone has a picture of what a new original one looks like.
Would appreciate some help with this.

Looks like the smaller Chevy type speedo gears. Maybe not as hard to get as you think. Here is a 21 tooth gear on E Bay.

Maybe contact the seller and ask for a 19 tooth.

    Also check this site,

Scroll down the page. Looks like the custom made gears for 64 and back.

I wish I had seen this a few days earlier....there is a salvage yard in Annandale, MN called French Lake Auto parts and I swear I saw three or four of the 59's sitting up the way from where i was gathering some items off a few units for my car. Now that I think about it...maybe they were 1960. I definitely remember the tail fins...and I know they weren't impalas.
