Electra 68 2dr Quarter-Panels... please help me.. Hi! I'm searching for rear Quarter-Panels (free from rust and damages) to my Electra 225 -68 (2dr convertible)..... And I will perhaps buy some more parts if you have... -Feel free to inform me if you have seen a good looking electra (2dr) on a junkyard or anything.... (My cousins in Hardford will handle it) Thanks! :TU:
Have you tried any of the parts suppliers listed in Hemmings Motor News? www.hemmings.com You should be able to use the quarters off of a '67-but know that the '68 was the first year for the side marker lights. That is the only difference in the sheetmetal itself. So to be authentic, you would have to retrofit the side lights into the quarters off of a '67.
I dont know if I searched the site correct, but I did find one company, www.westcoastsheetmetal.com and their site gave me hope again... hurray thanks for the tip....
:Smarty: If anyone see good fenders on a junkyard please inform me and if it goes well I will reward you... hehe... *starting to get desperate*
I'm still :ball: searching for rear Quarter-Panels (free from rust and damages) from a 2dr HT or conv electra 1967 or 1968... (family in US will handle the transport) :TU:
I know you are looking for 2 dr. quarter panels-a NOS 4 dr. quarter is on EBay-maybe you can use this for repairs? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1967...ewItemQQcategoryZ34204QQitemZ4600380431QQrdZ1
This is probably too nice to use as a donor car...but you never know o No: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buic...ewItemQQcategoryZ80732QQitemZ4600547510QQrdZ1
quarters I bought a repop set from an aftermarket company years ago for my conv and hdtp and they worked fine. They were roughly 200.00 a set and are still available.
There's a '67 here in Washington State that looks to have pretty perfect quarters. How much do you expect to spend and how much of the quarter panels do you need?
Ooo, some new answers... :TU: interesting, but you have so new cars - I know there are panels for newer and older... not 67 - 68 (or?)..... :ball: I need full size... I have rust in the front, before the doors... Thats why i dont want to get the 2dr panels... About what I'm willing to pay, I'm trying to research now what the price are on new panels, and used... I have no problem to pay $300 / fender... But perhaps thats low? Can pay more, It depends how serious the seller are, and on the condition on the fenders.... I'm thinking on leave my car to a company, so they make new fenders (90-95% correct shape).. but that sure will cost alot, and original feels best.. Thanks all for helping me! -Find me some perfect fenders! :bglasses: (also need a complete 67 front) All free from rust, dents, repairs.... :TU:
