I have been running the Stg. 1 fuel pump, and want to run an electric pump. Can I activate the ele. pump with a turbo 400 kick down switch, so when I need it I will have it other wise I would be running on the Stg. 1 mech. pump.

    Has this been done before?

    Thanks
    Mike

I don't think that will work. I'm pretty sure most of the electric pumps will not just "flow thru", could be wrong though.

You will need to make a bypass with a check valve (one way type) because as said above your manual fuel pump will not pull fuel through a "non-engerized" electric fuel pump.

    Mike,
For where you want to go just axe the mechanical pump and run a GOOD electric pump.....If you don't do it now,I guarantee you'll end up like this down the road.
