Engine bogs at low rpms and high load

    53 Buick Suoer Estate Wagon - Engine bogs down at low rpms and high load - I think it may be corrected with the installation of an electronic ignition - but could it be a dynaflow transmission issue?

    Ignition is not where I would go initially unless it was missing. Bog means different things to different people. You should be able to tell if the engine is laying over or if the transmission is holding the vehicle back. Since the Dynaflow relies so heavily on the torque converters ability to multiply torque, I suppose a problem with the torque converter could be your problem, but it is really difficult to diagnose it over the net. There were several versions of the Dynaflow, some better than others.
