I've owned 2 buicks, and the paint always seems to burn off in a certain spot on the intake manifold. Is this problem common? What paint could I use that won't burn off here? And were can I get it.

I had a similar problem with a spot right on top, on the passenger side and found out my heat riser valve was sticking. Once I took care of that and repainted the spot I've never had a problem again. Coincidence? I think not.

The Duplicolor High heat red is rated at 1200 degrees! Good color match for Buick Red. I know someone here knows the part #??????? Also if you block the heat risers in the head then it will end this problem. Better for performance anyway.
