engine rebuild kits

    Any suggestions on where to obtain a reasonable rebuild kit for a 70 GS 350. I do not want to put a ton of money in this motor. I would like to just keep it near stock.

    Your best bet would be Northern Auto Parts out of Sioux City Iowa.I have used several(15 or more)kits from them.You get to pick from 3 kits.
    The 1st is a re-ring kit.Includes rings ,rod and main bearings and a Victor gasket set.
    2nd is a master kit which you get the re-ring kit plus cam,lifters pistons oil pump,freeze plugs too.
    3rd is just a cam kit that has timing set,cam,and lifters.
    Prices are as follows for a 70 engine:
    1st 111.13
    2nd 538.40
    3rd 179.64
    All the parts are brand names also.Cloyes,Melling,Sealed Power,Clevite,Victor. You can also replace the Gasket set for a Fel-pro for an additional 8 bucks.
