This is my first time on this forum, so a little introduction
    I drive a 65 lesabre with a 300 ci , st 400 gearbox (so i'm told).
My problem is that I need another engine because of an broken waterpump so I burnt 2 or more valves.
A company here in the netherlands can provide an engine from the states for 1800 euro/dollar and says it's an factory new engine. I'd rather put in a '72 350 ci or more but don't know what will fit in without any adjustments .What i mean is , I want to use my gearbox , alternator , andso on .
Please reply to this so I know what to do.
I'm running on LPG (liquid petrol gas ) so there's no problem for octane whatsoever.
Sorry if there are any spelling mistakes , i'm dutch
Hope to hear from you soon best regards Andre

The problem with the 350 replacement is that you need a complete engine to have the brackets, linkages, that will be needed to complete the work.

This is not a problem if you either buy a complete running engine out of a car, or buy a complete junk engine with all attachments, which you could transfer to a new engine block.

The gearbox should be OK with a 350.
