Anybody ever change out there nailhead for a small block chevy? My buddy has a 383 stroker. It's pretty mean. I was wondering if anybody has ever done this before. Anybody got any pics?

    I am in the process....

I am in the process of installing a 454 and 700-r4 in my 62 buick. the motor and treans ran great (nailhead) but the prices people want to upgrade or chrome out was too expensive for me....

I took the crossbember for the trans, narrowed it. Then the mounts are a bitch. I bought 78 dodge pick-up mounts (a bolt on each side, and made plates to bolt to the block) then popped a hole in the frame and the underside of the frame (to get to the nut on the other side... lol0 and thats hwere I am at so far. better take the front clip off the car though.. much easier. Also, headers for a chevy and custom cut and welded are next... EEEKKK!!!

    good luck!
