Hey guys im back from my summer vacation in greece and back to work on my 65 skylark drop top! This winter i should be up and ready for body work and primer on the front half of the car (*FRont bumper to Door) Anyway I'm going to use epoxy primer for this task. I have minor body work to be done so my question is this. Will the bondo eat through the epoxy primer when its dry? ive seen some jobs and you can notice where filler has been. If you can see it is there a way to remedy it? Also last questoin is it safe to drive the car while its in epoxy primer?

It's common practice to apply plastic filler OVER epoxy primer. However, some say filler adhesion is better when applied directly to the metal. Ther's an interesting test here:

On the flip side, the metal is better protected from corrosion when it's first covered with epoxy, then filler. Take your pick. :Do No:

Epoxy primer is more waterproof than other primers. But it will be affected by long term exposure to the Sun's uv rays.
