So i'm finally excited about working on my car again. 83 limited, 455 sp400. had some freez plugs freez out over winter, got upset, lost hope... blah blah blah... Well i pulled the motor half out, replaced said plugs, then fited the headers! went in pretty well i say, specially since they were for a big block in a 67 gs. some dimples. BUT now i'm totaly psyched about getting the car running. gotta get reducers for the exaust, a radiator, trans cooler, hoses, and a fan. have all the wiring, just gotta get it in the car, i'm excited. WOOHOO! maybe 2 weeks and it'll run, then a few after that till i can get it on the road.... heh then the long wate till i have the money for a ford nine inch! SWEET! hope someone else out there is as excited about their progect as i am about mine! -Brendan Oh, and on a slightly sadder note, i have to bring the 68 lesabre 4 dr sedan to the scrap yard on wednesday :ball: can't keep it at home if i'm to bring the regal home. oh well, if you want it come take it please!
way to go!!! there's nothing like the roar of a big block Regal I'll be taking Mine out in a week or so to shake the dust off :3gears:
hey black 82 stage 1. My 83 will hopefully be black and beautifull one day , lookin for a cowl hood too. anywho, good to hear about big block regals hittin the road, got a friend out here with a nice regal, has an SBC in it though BLAH, he wants to buy a crate BBC for it, i'm trying to get him to build a 455 for it... just hope i'm faster than him when he upgrades to the BBC.
my hood has a decal that says glasstek on it, I'll get the phone #'s off it,and post them in the morning
Hey i'v already checked out glasstek... just can't afford it rite now.. heh. i'm actually going to get all the parts i have already into the car, mostly wiring, and i have most of what i need for exaust. but after that i'm actually going to be driving hopefully cross country with my best friend, in a 100 dollar volkswagon, heh. so i'll have to put little buford on hold till i get back and start working again. I'm looking foward to this trip, it's the last summer i'll be able to do something like this for a while, seeing as once i graduate collage, i have to find a real job, that i can't just up and leave for 3 weeks. Thanks anyway for trying to find that number though, it's always nice when someone tries to help out, specially when it's someone you've never met befor, just the common interest makes it worth it to the other person. off to bed now, got a day of work, then towing cars around long island after into the morning. -Brendan
