exhaust question

    hey guys would it be hard to get an xpipe setup with cats and a flowmaster s40 muffler
    or would it just be easier to get a complete ready hpipe system?

    this would be for a buick gs350 thats going into my 79regal

    Here is pic of the x pipe under my 79 regal 455 it is 3inch and fits great but I dont know about cats... I cant see a problem with putting them on thought[​IMG]

    The cats will be a tough fit, but doable. Get the shortest units you can. I could fit a 10" cat into my X pipe setup.

    If you can weld do it yourself!! Buy mandrel bends and a chop saw! I went to my local scrap steel yard and bought stainless steel tubing with a few bends attached the others . They charged me by weight which worked out$1.00 a foot . You can't buy crappy muffler shop pipe for that !!! I used stainless cats I bought off the net and borla mufflers and tips from the same place. It looks beautiful!!! It will be the last exhaust system I'll need for that car!!! Sorry Midas!!!!!!! Even the wifes car ( 93 caprice) got a stainless system it was way cheaper!! I don't mind making anything but only once!!

    hey matt, did you make your crossmember or did you buy it somewhere, thats exactly what i need for my 84 im putting the big block in, im kinda stuck in that spot right now. dan
