Re: exhaust Bill, I saw nothing being sold by the BGSCA. I did post there about items the club is selling. I will wait to hear from them... And TT is actually a little more expensive than TA. Mike
Re: Re: exhaust ...yes, but shipping from AZ instead of GA will get you. I'm going the following route, for my 2.5'' exhaust - - Down pipes from TT - X-Pipe from X-force technologies (Nick F.) - Walker 17749 Dynomax mufflers - Tailpipes from TT I also had John Osborne rebuild a recently purchased 1971 800 cfm carb (thanks again Phil!) and bought a (used) set of Greg Gessler's ported exhaust manifolds. Rob Chilenski of Stage1 Automotive in Pompton Plains NJ will be putting everything together soon. We'll see how everything goes.
Marco, Definately let me know how it all goes. I am going to need something in the near future for my 455 and would like to know how yours turns out. And what the total cost ended up at. Thanks, Mike
Unfortunately, the total cost is more than I initially anticipated, especially with the carb/ported manifolds. I believe in doing things once and doing them right (and I even got the wifey's OK :Brow: ) I know I'll definitely be satisfied with the results. I will let you know how I make out with the 'out-the-door' prices, including labor/taxes so you know what to expect. :eek2:
Thanks Marco, I heard of Greg Gessler's ported exhaust manifolds, what is the cost of them, if you do not mind. And the Xpipe from Nick F, is this the same Nick F. that is quoted a few times here concerning exhaust systems and what standard manifolds can do? I actually sent an email to a link to a post from a Nick F. from this board, and never received an email return. I am in desire to go with an X pipe myself. And am wondering which route to go, both a correct way, and economical as my budget ran out over a motor ago, LOL. But I need to finish everything up when the motor gets here to use that investment. I like the idea of doing it right the first time, but I am afraid of the cost of the right way, but want to do the best I can for the money. I appreciate all of your help you can give me. Mike :TU:
