1972 GS. The "upper peak moulding" and the side protective moulding....anyone know about the correct clips and how the trim goes on? I can't imagine it slides on, I've tried 2 different types of clips I found, tried "snapping" the moulding on, but it's not working.......HELP!!!!!!
    Thanks!!!!

Moldings should snap over the stud mounted plastic clips, except for the ends. I understand the plastic clips have become VERY hard to find for the upper peak moldings. My master parts catalog does not list these clips as being separately available, but does list part numbers for "Molding and attaching parts". From my experience the clips for the body side moldings differ from the clips for the upper peak moldings, but look very similar.

EDIT: This individual seems to have found a source.

    Thanks Jim,
I've got some different ones coming, I'm just wary of having to hit the trim too hard to get it to snap on. Not sure how much is correct.

I think I have several different pieces, not sure which ones. If you need a certain one let me know and I can look through my trim parts.
