External to internal regulator swap

    I have a 66 Riv with the standard alt/ext reg setup. How tough is it to go to a modern internal reg alternator setup? A step by step procedure from someone who has done it would be appreciated.

    Lou,
    take a look at www.buickperformance.com There is a tech article on "Upgrading your alternator". Deals with 68-72 cars, probably the same.

    Check out Yearone. They have a conversion kit that is just plug and go. Looks really clean and no spliceing.
