You gotta use the 12 point, 3/8" head ARP bolts. If your using the old school 7/16 6 points its near impossible

I actually do the opposite,..I find it easier to get the 6pt to tighten up,..I've done both many times tho

But take your index finger and go behind and under no5 tube then slide the bolt down and use both index fingers to roll it in,..also do this bolt 3rd and with the end bolts in about 3turns

I find using a shallow 1/4 drive with wobble helped me....I went through the inner fender

I think my headers are slotted on that center bolt hole.

Allen head with a wobble hex can sometimes do them pretty decent.

I've always wanted to remember to slot the header flange but I never remember till I'm pushing my fingers down in there then I'm like sunumabitch why didn't I,.... Ha

I also got a little header wrench that come with some headers I bought one time for a Chevelle,..that little bastard is magical ha,..and I got a ole snap on 7/16 that I thinned up that works well too

Mine were slotted on the rear lower.....I would drop the motor most ofvthe way in, pull them up to hang in that bolt, the drop it down. I always found the lower rear to be a bigger PIA than the center

Get a long enough box or open end wrench ( whichever you prefer) and then heat and bend it into the angles needed to help the process along!

I prefer the 12 point and a box wrench that I have also ground the OD of the ring wall down a bit thinner besides bending it some.

Just found out that the CNC work is done on my Stage 2's. Looking forward to installing headers.

I'm gonna be honest with ya,...I can do stage 1 headers much quicker than stage 2s

Briz, for our Riv's can we pull/install the engine with the shorty headers on or do we need to remove them?
