Fan shroud for 455 suggestions?

Howdy,
been a minute since ive been on but bout to order annee fan shroud for betty, year one has 3 for the 455, different prices and materials and companys, was just hoping to get a vets opinion on which of the 3 is the better of them. TA Performance also makes one thats cheaper than all of em. Thanks in advance!

For what year and body style?

 

If for a 70/72 GS/Skylark an original 71/72 shroud with the 71+ long water pump and 19in fan is the best setup, original 71/72 shrouds can be picked up for $150 to $200

For a 64/67 I'd do an OE electric fan

 

Its a 70 skylark with a 455 from a 73 riviera

 

Year One is an expensive seller that charges a lot for shipping "and handling". If you are using a 73 year model 455 the first issue is what is the fan diameter relative to a shroud. The second issue is a stock 70 Buick A body shroud was not designed for a post 70 model 455 long water pump. That combination projects the fan too far into the shroud for optimum cooling.

 

You will need the 71/72 shroud, Fred has one for sale now

 

I have a 71-72 fan shroud that has the strap for the upper hose . Fits ALL 455 no matter the body style according to the Parts Book. Pm me if interested . I don't want to step on Fred's post
