For '70 GS, need location for fuse that operates fan speed selector/ blower motor? I have nothing at the fan speed selector switch and it appeared all fuses were good. The writing on my fuse block is about gone so I need someone to give me the specific location. If it's not a fuse, what else could it be? I checked connections under dash at switch and that appears hooked up. Thanks!
Evans, Check the blower relay on the firewall. It is located up top, behind the air cleaner, between the washer pump and the vacuum storage container. Also check the resistor assembly located in the engine compartment on the A/C blower case. The heater A/C fuse is on the right side column of fuses, 2nd one down from the top, 25 Amp. Hope that helps.
thanks Larry! Larry, As usual, great tips and info you've provided here for me. I'll check all this afternoon. Has to be one of these as it was working prior to some of the work on the triple gauge install. I'll bet that when plumbing those senders, something came uncapped or unplugged. I'll let everyone know what I find. Good news is that I have 2 of the 3 gauges working correctly on the aux gauge install! Have the oil T left to install.
found it- thanks again Larry! Larry continues to show his BBB technical assistance expertise as he was again right on the money diagnosing this problem. Turned out to be one of the connectors being loose on the fan blower relay. I have fan speed capability again! Thank you Larry. Wonder how many times I might say that to a guy I never met before but is extremely helpful? When we meet one day, I'll buy you your favorite beverage!! :beer
