"Fastest Car with Tailpipes"?????

    A buddy of mine went 7.99 at 179 Weds night at Norwalk....
    The car is an 87 Trans Am w/a 588Chevy on Nitrous,a powerglide,Ladderbar rear,10" tires and running through a complete 3 1/2 inch exhaust with a race weight of 3400lbs +/-

    Anyone ever see a car go faster with a FULL exhaust?
    It's probably the quietest 7 second ride you'd ever see....

    I'm impressed!

    Hey John,

    Gary Box did it with a 350 chevy also:grin: :laugh: That is the only guy that I know of who has never had over 454 CID in his car but has never sold anything smaller than a 632. :blast:

    Rod was running 8.14 last year with 2 sets of mufflers and turn downs, does that count for anything?? This year he only has one set on and is running 8.07. Maybe the extra set was slowing him down.
