I'm disassembling my 455's top end to install some new stage 2 heads. I noticed that the Felpro head gaskets that were on the engine w/ the iron heads have almost no holes for coolant to flow from the block to the heads. The lower passages are completely blocked, and the upper passages (closest to the valley) have only 2 small holes that would allow only minimal flow. Any of the other brands of gaskets have the same setup? Anyone have any thoughts on if this is the best arrangement?
Question's come up before...the small holes are there by design. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=105705 Devon
