Hello, We went to races saturday and only got one pass before rainout. The car feels alot better with the 8 point roll bar installed. The track was not in the best of shape and I got a 1.53 60ft and the wife said the wheels were up more than she ever seen them before. The car still is messed up in high gear, it pops out the exhaust and lays down so it only ran a 11:49 @ 114 mph. I have tried or changed alot of stuff without spending alot of money to fix it but can't. I am getting to the point of not knowing were to look for the problem anymore, I don't want to be buying all kinds of new stuff and still have the problem. I was talking to a friend at the races while watching it rain, they have a mid 80s Monte Carlo with a 502 that runs very low 11s and he was saying he had the same problem as mine and they pulled out the hydraulic cam and went to solid cam and his poping in high gear went away so now I wonder if it is a lifter pumpup problem with mine. I think I am going to reset the lifter preload to a 1/8 turn and see if that helps. I can't remember if I am at 1/4 or 1/2 turn now, I think 1/2 turn. Tom
