Last night was my first official kill with the my new 464 in the Riv. It was about 10:35 and I had just gotten off the highway and was sitting at a light on a dark forest road. Then what would pull up next to me, but a 1990-something eclipse, orange, a wing, fart cannon, and get this a fake supra rear end?! Well the two kids look over at the black beast and rev'd, well when the light turned green and they gunned it I couldn't just sit there I had a whole community of Buicks to represent. I hit the gas hard and pulled away instantly even though I span the tires the entire intersection!! It was awesome leaving them in a huge cloud of smoke and rubber and amazement of how something so big and old go move so fast. But it wasn't over, a little while down the road he figured if he couldn't beat me from a stop he could from a roll. Nope, he pulls up and honks three times, I tricked him by letting him get the leap on me and then blew him away again easy. Pulled into the gas station with me and found out his eclipse was turbo-charged! Not a very big turbo, but a turbo none the less. Yes, there is no replacement for displacement, torque wins races, and all that other good stuff but ricers will never learn will they. Now I need to get some posi to really lay the hurt down. Zach
WOOOO HOOOO. That's awesome, I bet he thinks twice next time he pulls up to a big sled of a car. From a stop and from a roll, looks like you've got all your bases covered.:3gears:
Same thing happened to me the other night except it was a blue eclipse. Spun my tires through the intersection while passing him. Why do they even try?
Thanks everyone, theres a 350z in the neighborhood thats been trying to get me to race, maybe he'll be the next victim. Zach
I beat a 350 at the track one time. He was running high 14s. By the end of the night he ran a 14.2. I don't know if/what mods he had though. Any idea what you run?
Actually I am going out to the Backlot Bash in Skokie 12:30 - 6 pm or something like that, you should come too. I often travel out to the show in Rolling Meadows, and you can find me drifting in Elk Grove/Arlington Heights/Army Trail Road with my friends (all rice except one has a turbo v6 2005 mustang, and another has a 73 firebird but "it's not running right now") During the week I am exclusively in the city because of work and school. Tomorrow after the Skokie show I am going to go crash an import show in the evening would love it if more Buicks could come with. By the way I walked a new Saturn Ion that, wait for it, was turbo charged. Me and my dad were on our way home from Rolling Meadows and this nut blows by us. I am one car behind him at the light and he takes off, probably because he jknew he had no chance from a dead top, but I catch up and he takes off again only I slowly gain half a car and little by little a bit more, finally he gives up because of traffic. Did better than that eclipse though. Zach
