I'm currently repairing all the holes in the floor and came to reveal that there is a large amount of rust and holes in all three of the floor crossmembers where they join the rocker panels. I saw that OPGI offers replacement crossmembers but I can't decide if I should get them or if I should try repairing the original ones. If I do go with new I'm not sure how to go about removing the existing ones and putting in new ones. Has anybody encountered this before? I have included some photos of what I'm working with.

    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

If you want to do the job right/correctly,
and....if you plan to keep the car....you need to remove the entire floor and all the braces....buy the new one-piece floor from www.nationalpartsdepot.com for a Chevelle and the 3 braces........you will be much better off in the long run and have a much stronger floor than trying to patch that rust....see the 70 Stg1 conv I restored and it will show you what I did....not a difficult job just time consuming...you will need some special tools such as Clecko pins and pliers, MIG welder, seam sealer, etc...all depends on how handy you are to tackle this job.
