I have a notchback bench in my 70 'Lark, and was wondering if anyone has ever converted their column shift automatic to the floor and left the bench in? I don't like the column shift, but I love the bench. Any opinions?
I have 2 1970 GS's that came from factory with the 4 speed and bench seats, 1 standard bench and 1 notchback bench. Perfect combination! Tom
You could put an aftermarket shifter like this in and get a cable that will fit your application. Wont be a tough thing to do,but the stock GS setup obviously wont work. The types of shifters you can use depends on what your preference is.
