I have what I think is a factory Hurst Shifter for a GM product. The three fingers that hang down out of the shifter box, that the rods connect to, have weird shaped holes. They are round, but have two little square notches opposite eachother. Is there a bushing that is reproduced for this style hole? Or, should I enlarge the hole and use the standard steel bushings that come in a Hurst Pit Pack? I am trying to adapt a set of Non-Factory Hurst rods to this shifter.

    Thanks,
    Mike

I would use the factory rods and the special rubber bushings. Scott has you on the right stuff. You neeed a side view to understand how it is made.

Thanks for the link. They look about right. I don't have the factory rods and I am trying to use this in a non GM application. Anyone know if those bushings hold up, or do they get sloppy quick?

    Thanks again,
    Mike

I like them and have used these for years. The Muncie internals will blow the aluminum case apart if you get too froggy with the shifts. This will limit the wear and tear on the bushings.
